Magical Moments Off the Mat
Our daily yoga practices (1-2x/day) are supplemented with time to soak in the environment of Locanda, to attend a cooking class with our chefs, as well as trips off-site to Le Infiorate di Spello and to Assisi.
Le Infiorate di Spello
In beautiful Spello, over 1000 residents work throughout the night to "paint" floral carpets on the ancient city's medieval streets. People flock from around the world to take in the beauty that emerges from their efforts.
THE LEGACY OF FRANCIS + CLARE
Assisi is a historic UNESCO World Heritage Site within Umbria, in part because of the legacy left behind by Francis and Clare, whose dedication to simplicity and to the love of God and neighbor inspired generations. Less well-known, but in keeping with that spirit, are the stories of the Assisi Underground and the work of 5 residents designated by Yad Vashem as "Righteous Among Nations" who provided a safe haven for Jews escaping the Nazis during WWII.
Accommodating Your Travel Preferences
Locanda del Gallo has two kinds of housing - all wonderful, as the participants on our 2024 retreat would attest.
Suites With a Shared Bathroom:
There are three 2-bedroom suites. Each of these has a shared bathroom exclusively for the guests staying in that suite. These suites can accommodate 1 or 2 people in each of the bedrooms.
Private Rooms with Private Bathrooms:
The remainder of the rooms each have a private bathroom.
Solo Travelers: Choose between a) your own private room, b) a solo room in one of the 2 bedroom suites, or, if possible, c) be paired up with another solo traveler in either a suite or a private room.
Traveling With Friends: Depending on the size of your group, the 2-bedroom suites can accommodate up to 4 people. The private rooms can accommodate 2 travelers, each in a twin bed.
Traveling As a Couple: You will find that any of the private rooms are excellent options.
If you want help with flights, ground transportation to/from the airport and/or other excursions pre- or post-retreat - all of which are not included in the retreat package - we can get you into trusted hands to arrange those details!
Deposit
$500
This deposit secures a spot for you on the retreat.
From there, you'll be able to decide which rooming option best suits you (and any travel companion(s) who may be joining you).
