I miss being in the studio and teaching but I know I’ll have even more to drawn from once I return there! I’m glad you’re maintaining your practice and finding support for it!

You’ll find that as time passes you will become more and more comfortable - like running, those initial runs may seem too long or too steep but we grow into them. That said, feel free to adjust your foot position in the moment and/or to create an even more comfortable seat the next time around!

Shin Splints?  When the shin takes a beating over time, it can cause inflammation in the soft tissues around the tibia, the larger of the two lower leg bones. Reducing that inflammation is one part of healing. Other strategies flow from asking, why is my shin taking such a beating? Sometimes inviting more friends to the party to help mitigate the forces at the foot/ankle and lower leg can be helpful.

I’ve been thinking about, working on and playing with those transitions between levels and will bring more of that into practices actually!
